our itinerary
Deciding where to go was tough. We started with a long list, and slowly narrowed it down.
The following factors came into play:
- Cost: We decided to give Europe and the USA a miss as the cost of living is just too high.
- Interest: We chose locations that one or both of us really wanted to see, and that would remain interesting for the duration of our stay (typically one month).
- Cultural diversity: We both loved China and the intense cultural differences, from food to language to religion and traditions.

Hey guys! Looks like the trip is still going well and you’re still having a brilliant time! I’ve been back in London for about 4 weeks now, and it’s blinking freezing - it’s about minus 5 today! Am enjoying reading about your continuing adventures, and am SO JEALOUS that you’re off to Nepal soon. Give me a shout if you want some tips. Lots of jumpers please!
